Before:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-9140\" src=\"https:\/\/stevepedwards.today\/ElectronicsStuff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_20200508_213016592-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" \/><br \/>\nAfter:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-9141\" src=\"https:\/\/stevepedwards.today\/ElectronicsStuff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_20200508_230057607-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" \/><br \/>\nMay have to desolder the transistors to test them along with the D880 voltage regulator:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-9142\" src=\"https:\/\/stevepedwards.today\/ElectronicsStuff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_20200508_225950694-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" \/><br \/>\nthat seems to have suffered the shorting arc and caused the two C1685 capacitors to short, tested on the Peak transistor checker and meter in diode mode - emitter to collector shorts etc.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-9139\" src=\"https:\/\/stevepedwards.today\/ElectronicsStuff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_20200508_233203583_BURST000_COVER_TOP-1-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" \/><br \/>\nThe mains windings are OK with the Peak ESR tester and meter - at 15 ohms or so.<br \/>\nThe secondaries are &gt;40 Ohms so seem ok.<br \/>\nAll the 5 diodes on the board test ok as well as the 6 capacitors. 100uF at 25V x 4; 10uF x 2.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Absolutely cute little receiver and amp!
